ABBYY Aligner Activation

Activation is necessary to switch the program to full functionality. When not activated, ABBYY Aligner works in trial mode and has certain restrictions:

• Limited working time
• Limited number of lines you can export
• Limited number of lines you can export at a time

Product ID is used to identify your computer during activation. It is displayed in the Activation Wizard window.
Product ID is automatically compiled by the program, basing on your computer configuration. Personal data is not used to compile the Product ID. The compilation algorithm is designed to prohibit extraction of technical information.

Serial number is a unique number confirming your right to use ABBYY Aligner. It is sent to your by e-mail at program purchase.

Activation required only little time and can be carried out using the Activation Wizard.

To run the Activation Wizard at program start, click Activate (Enter Serial Number) in the window that appears. If you want to carry out the activation from the main window, click Help > Activate…

Follow the Activation Wizard's instructions to complete the activation.

Only the serial number and the Product ID are sent to ABBYY during activation. No personal data is transferred. It is also impossible to extract technical information from the files sent by you to ABBYY.

The validity period of your license depends on its type. The license can limit the usage time or the amount of exportable information. This means that when you have run out of time and/or exportable lines, the license will expire. You will have to buy a new license from ABBYY, and activate it, to continue using ABBYY Aligner.

You may also need to reactivate ABBYY Aligner, if:

• The program is reinstalled on another computer;
• Computer configuration is substantially changed, for example after hard disk formatting or installation of a new operating system.
